Thank you to Edgewood Valley Country Club!

We are grateful to the leadership and members at Edgewood Valley Country Club including our co-hosts, Ashley & Brian Condron, Keri & Brian Tyrrell, Bill Farago & Sarah Smith and Marie & Jordan Hanson.

Together, we raised awareness for drowning related risk factors impacting children ages 4 and younger, as well as key strategies in preventing tragedies.

Both Ashley Condron and Nicole Hughes were courageous to share their personal stories to the group that gathered in the fully packed Paddle Hut. While it’s accurate to say there was not a dry eye in the room, the program ended with hope, empowerment and an incredible amount of collective action.

We’re inspired by the impact that has resulted from this event which includes increased awareness for and interest in self-rescue lessons, generous contributions to our lesson scholarship fund and many guests offering to host similar events at their own golf and swim clubs or homes. Finally, we’d like to acknowledge Edgewood’s commitment to continued water safety awareness building in the interest of empowering parents to keep Edgewood children safer in and around the pool.

If you would like to host an event or to have the CAST Team come present at your club or to your network of friends and neighbors in your home, we would love to hear from you. Together we can save lives!

Float 4 ANNA

Thank you to our partners at the 4 ANNA Foundation for the continued generous support of CAST’s Scholarship Fund, including a $20,000 donation this summer! So many more children will now have access to self-rescue swimming lessons, and when we see them floating and breathing safely on their backs, we will know it was made possible by Anna and the Trent Family.

Big “News”

Thank you to Dina Bair and her team at WGN for featuring CAST on their “Medical Watch” segment this summer.
With awareness building being a key initiative, this means a ton!

A Big Splash in Monterey County

This summer CAST partnered with ISR Monterey Bay & Rising Tide Swim to sponsor swim lessons for 20 at-risk youth from The Village Project Inc. and other local youth organizations. Together, we committed to making water safety accessible, especially for families who may otherwise face financial barriers. This program was an incredible success and we are honored to have been a part of this. Thank you to Desiree Choy (Rising Tide) and Kerri Williams (ISR Monterey Bay) for spearheading this initiative!

Celebrating 1,000 Scholarships

This spring, with our nationwide instructor partner team, we reached our 1000th scholarship student. This means over 40,000 private lessons were provided to kids that may not otherwise have been able to learn to swim and float.
We celebrated locally in Forest Park with gatherings at both U3 Coffee and Robert’s Westside.
